Weigh the Flour & part the Eggs : KitchenAid KPEXTA Stand-Mixer Pasta-Extruder Attachment

I got mine from Williams-Sonoma as a Valentine's Day present. I as a matter of fact love this attachment.

I make pasta at least once a week now, and it couldn't be easier. The attachment came with good recipes that are easy to consequent for great pasta.

I have the pasta roller and cutter attachments that I use for rolling wide noodles, but for regular spaghetti or any other shape the plates create- this is incredibly easy. The storage of the plates in the lid looks nice and is Very convenient. The compose produces Very limited waste.

All in all probably my favorite attachment so far! Very well done, Ka!!

Henckels Twin Signature Stainless-Steel 11-Piece Knife Set with Block / Kitchen German This knife block set carries a useful assortment of standard knives for outfitting a kitchen. The set includes a 2-1/2-inch peeling knife, a 4-inch paring knife, a 5-inch serrated utility knife, a 6-inch utility knife, and an 8-inch chef's knife, as well as a 7-inch hollow-edge santoku, an 8-inch bread knife, and a 4-1/2-inch steak knife. A 9-inch sharpening steel keeps their edges in order, and a pair of kitchen shears to snip herbs, flowers, or string is also included. Everything stores neatly in the attractive natural hardwood block. The knives feature high-carbon, stainless-steel blades that have been stamped from one piece of metal. The edge is cut by laser for a more consistent angle on the blade and hand-honed for sharpness. Blades have also undergone Henckels's Friodur ice-hardening process, which further strengthens them and protects from discoloration. The ergonomically designed traditional-style polymer handles are securely fastened to the balanced full tangs with three rivets. Handles seamlessly encase the tangs on these knives so no food particles can ever become trapped in a gap. Twin Signature knives are all dishwasher-safe (although Henckels recommends washing by hand) and are covered by a lifetime warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde What's in the Box 2-1/2-inch peeling knife, 4-inch paring knife, 5-inch serrated utility knife, 6-inch utility knife, 8-inch chef's knife, 7-inch hollow-edge santoku, 8-inch bread knife, 4-1/2-inch steak knife, 9-inch sharpening steel, kitchen shears, and a hardwood block..../ Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Signature Stainless-Steel 11-Piece Knife Set with Block / Kitchen German Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Signature Stainless-Steel 11-Piece Knife Set with Block Kitchen German Special for cheapest price black friday's deals and discount Customer Review : A good set, and a not so bad value either. : Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Signature Stainless-Steel 11-Piece Knife Set with Block I was all the time awed by the potential of the Henckels's brand knife and decided to ultimately take the plunge and shell out the $300 for the block and steak knives. While there is beyond doubt no comparison to the crappy knives I got at Target 2 years ago, I was a slight dissapointed overall. The knives, while very sharp, beyond doubt feel a bit flimsy in the hand. I'm not suggesting one try to cut a can of beans in half with one of these, but the feel of the knives, especially the smaller, ones was a bit underwhelming. I did investigate after this buy and discovered that this single set is essentially a starter set and that there are several higher potential Henckel models whose cost is into the thousands. So I suppose for the money the knives were a decent deal but don't expect top-of-the line performance.

Customer Review :

breathtaking companion to my Shun variety : Shun 300/1000 Combination Whetstone

As a bistro laborer who has a rather large variety of shun knives, I purchased this whetstone because I was in the market to upgrade from an old oil stone to something a little easier to use. My oil stone was definitely showing signs of wear. So solely on the guidance from a colleague who also uses shun knives, I ordered up.

I improbable a good stock based upon the shun name but this indeed exceded my expectations. It is a breathtaking whetstone to have and to use for a consolidate of reasons. First, the price is reasonable (like are you kidding me?? a shun stock for less than $100!?!). Secondly, my old stone didn't seem to have the best composition of grit - a common and a medium - whereas this shun stone has a common and a fine and believe it or not that fine grit indeed makes all the unlikeness in the world between getting those shun knives back to their customary razor edge as it will do for any knife. Thirdly, the ease of which this is done is amazing. With any passes on the common side, it only takes a consolidate passes on the fine side to bring a dull knife back to sharp. And working with a water whetstone instead of the oil stone is so much easier. Just plan ahead a few minutes to soak the stone in water and then set it back in it's plastic cradle (truly a great idea there) and away you go. When you are finished, let it sit out to dry. (This may be a downside for some as it takes a good 24 hrs to dry out. I leave mine sitting out on a prep table). And last, the thing that indeed amazes me is that as you pass the knife along the grits, it indeed takes no attempt whereas my oil stone seemed to be a bit of a chore. Not only did it require a little bit of elbow grease to move the knife along but then there was oil in any place to clean up. The shun stone leaves no real trace of whatever except a thin film of shavings on the knife which is indeed wiped off. It makes sharpening knives a breeze and a pleasure.

For whatever inspecting this product, do yourself a favor and purchase it. For bistro workers, it's a must. It's easy to use, small sufficient to fit in your kit or case and quick to get your knives back into shape. For home kitchens, this should be something you should seriously reconsider buying for yourself. It's easy to use and will help you achieve that belief that goes with cooking great meals because great meals come from great prep work and great prep work comes from sharp knives.
